The range of plastic processing includes thermoplastics as well as cross-linking materials such as thermosets, elastomers and LSR.
Compared to elastomers and thermosets, which were patented in 1838 and 1907, LSR is a relatively young material. It was developed in 1975 in the USA, where the first LSR products were presented in 1977. In Europe (Venice) liquid silicone rubber was presented for the first time in 1978. One year later ARBURG brought out an ALLROUNDER for processing the new material.
To use ALLROUNDERs in these fields of plastic processing ARBURG offers special equipment packages.
